Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds theatre tour in May covered 4 shows in the UK: Edinburgh, Llandudno, London and Hull.
The show in Edinburgh was in Playhouse which is a theatre venue, so the lower balcony is very low. To bring a good quality sound here the PA must be too low which isn’t good for the top balcony coverage.
The decision was to install 6 L-Acoustics X8 under the balcony by hanging them on 1m scaff poles attached to the local scaffolding structure around the first balcony. Here are some photos below to show how it was done:
The Main PA hangs were consist of KARA supporting by SB18 and KS28 subs:
In the Hull Arena I had to use bigger L-Acoustics PA K1/K2 as the distance to the back seats was greater.
